CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
patp ~ April 24, 1973
Time ; 8. oo P.M.
Pleasanton Justice Court
Place;
City, there is no possible chance
for the applicant to realize con-
struction of this proposed building
and in the years that will follow, i
is not that advantageous to the City
to incur another commitment for
another design approval which the
City must provide sewer for. In
addition, design criteria might
change, and this proposal, although
acceptable now, may not be so sev-
eral years away.
Mr. John Dobbel, 1064 Lomitas Avenue
spoke for Mrs. Dobbel. He indicated
that their only reason for carrying
this application through the design
phase, was to obtain some sort of
assurance of sewer hookup in the
future.
Discussion followed among the Com-
missioners concerning priority for
sewer hookups .
Commissioner Carrigan then spoke for
the Commission in recommending that
this application be denied without
prejudice, in order to spare the
applicant having to repay his fees;
and that City Council take immediate
steps to establish some kind of
priority system for hookups of
lands which are potentially develop-
able as opposed to approvals already
given to areas which would entail
considerable expenditures on the par
of the City to complete improvements
The Public Hearing was then closed.
Chairman Pons wished to know if this
matter of priority for sewer hookups
can be established as soon as possi-
ble. Secretary Castro indicated
that a priority system already is
-4-
