Daniel Smith - application for a variance from the requirements of ~, Section 2-9.16, Article 16, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to allow the construction of an office build- ing without the required number of parking spaces on the property loca- ted at 608 Main Street, Pleasanton. Daniel Smith - application for desi for a proposed 3,642 sq. ft. office building to be located at 608 Main Street, Pleasanton, in the C-C (Community Commercial) District. The presentation was made by Senior Planner Harris. He indicated that the Baker building at 610 Main Stree is contiguous to this property at 608 Main Street. Ingress will be from Main Street and egress will be through the back and out on Division Street. As noted in the staff report, the parking arrangement is not the most desirable, with Mr. Smith re- questing a variance for two parking spaces, since Mr. Baker has five of his required parking spaces located on Mr. Smith's property. Cons e- quently, if Mr. Smith's building is constructed as proposed, the appli- cant will be using all of his parkin spaces save one, which under agree- ment with Mr. Baker, he is leaving for his use.
