M. <br />PIOCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS INITIATED <br />BY COMMISSION <br />MEMBERS <br />Improvements will consist of a grove <br />of trees and more turfing to be adde <br />to what is currently there. Also, <br />there will be a picnic area, a bike <br />parking area, pathways and low mound <br />ing in certain areas. <br />Commissioner Wood inquired as to how <br />soon construction would begin. <br />Mr. Campbell indicated that since <br />this is a joint City/School District <br />effort, and expenses are to borne by <br />both jurisdictions, work will begin <br />after final drawings are worked up <br />and approved by the School Board and <br />the City. <br />Commissioner Pereira wished to know <br />where the access for the parking <br />area would be if the remaining area <br />should be turned into soccer fields. <br />This was pointed out to him by <br />Mr. Campbell. <br />A resolution was offered by Com- <br />missioner Pereira, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wood and carried, <br />approving the master plan for <br />Walnut Grove Neighborhood Park, as <br />presented. <br />Commissioner Pereira expressed con- <br />cern regarding a few properties in <br />town, which have been condemned <br />for sometime, yet are still standing, <br />He wished to know what steps can the <br />City take to alleviate this situatioi <br />City Attorney, Ken Scheidig, indi- <br />cated that he would check into the <br />possibilities of abatement proce- <br />dures for substandard buildings. <br />-14- <br />
