Jack Bras/Jerry Bindi to allow construction of a restaurant at 348 St Mary Street, Pleasanton, in the C-C (Commu- nity Commercial) District. The Public Hearing was opened on both the varia nce and design review applications, City Attorney, Ken Scheidig, advised the Commission that with the passage of the in- Ilieu parking arrangement, the variance reque, should be denied and the applicant made to adhere to the new requirements. However, they could go ahead and approve the design of the restaurant, if they so desired. Commissioner McLain wished to know how many spaces the lot currently used by City staff would provide Mr. Bondi with. Secretary ,Castro stated that there would be about 80 'spaces; with the removal of the annex build-, ing, this figure would increase to about 117 Mr. Jack Bras indicated that he had no other comments to make since most of them had been stated at the previous hearing. Mr. Joseph Schwab spoke next. He concurred with the recommendations made by the City Attorney, that the variance be denied and th applicant made to comply with the new ordi- nance requirements on the off-street parking There being no further discussion, the Publid Hearing was closed. I A resolution was then offered by Commissione Pereira, seconded by Commissioner Wood and carried, denying the variance request with the applicant directed to comply with the off-street parking requirements adopted that evening.
