~`A$""~°~ CITY of PL~ASANTON
Plannin Commission
g
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Date : October 10 , 19 7 3
Time : 8:45 P.M.
Placs; Pleasanton Justice Court
The revision was looked over and a
resolution was entered and adopted
approving it.
MATTERS FOR INFOR-
MATION OF
COMMISSION
Information was given to the Planni
Commission that the Institute for
Planning Commissioners is scheduled
for Palm Springs January 16 through
January 18, 1974.
mhe Commissioners were advised that
study sessions scheduled for the
latter part of November will be
scheduled. These will be Public
Hearings and will involve the Genera
Plan elements.
City Manager Bill Edgar then dis-
cussed the Planning Commission work-
load and priority.
He did not intend to ask them to
take any action on the information
submitted that evening, but to
review the material.
The City Council has been after the
Commission for sometime to get more
involved in the long range planning
of the City. Also, they should get
more involved in the General Plan a
Central Business District studies.
Mr. Edgar felt that there are certai
phases which could be handled by the
staff, thereby reducing the workload
of Planning Commissioners on matters
which are less consequential. Also,
the Council felt that the zoning
enforcement program should be re-
activated, and with this reactivatio
the City could expect a considerable
increase of work being generated.
-7-
