CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
MINUT~B ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Date ; October 10, 1973
Time ~ s:45 P.M.
Plocej Pleasanton Justice Court
Considerable discussion ensued on th
interpretation of provision of in-
stallations for safety measures, and
the resultant increased air traffic,
which would naturally follow; and,
what steps can be taken by the City
of Pleasanton to ensure that this
community will not be inconvenienced
by any advances to the airport made
by the City of Livermore .
Resolution No. 1205 adopted by the
Planning Commission on October 3,
1972, was then discussed. The City
Council did review that resolution
and felt that they would need some-
thing more precisely worded. The
consensus of opinion among the
Commissioners, was that the wording
was adequate to explain their intent
that they were upset about the
Council not taking any action about
this matter when it was first brough
to their attention a year ago.
Considerable discussion centered
around the landing pattern and
what the additional runway being
projected would do to this City.
It was their feeling that another
resolution should be adopted, adding
more precise wording, which would
aid the Council in presenting a
better case to the appropriate
agencies having jusisdiction over
the matter.
Accordingly, a new Resolution No. -
1262 - was adopted incorporating
this additional, precise wording,
and forwarded to City Council for
their review.
-5-
9
a
{
I
1 r
l
i
~~
I
~i
