°`""'~ CITY of PL~ASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />I MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />n_.. . <br />~ ~ Z October 10, 1973 <br />Time : g:45 P.M. <br />PIpC4: Pleasanton ,justice Court <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Memorandum from City Manager re: <br />Restricted Growth Policy for the <br />City . <br />This memorandum was presented to the <br />Commission members for their infor- <br />mation. <br />Communication from Association of <br />Bay Area Governments re: application <br />from City of Livermore on Land <br />Acquisition for Livermore Municipal <br />Airport West Clear Zone. <br />Secretary Castro made reference to <br />the application of the City of Live <br />more for Federal assistance to <br />acquire 51 acres of agricultural <br />land for the purpose of establish- <br />ing a runway clear zone at the <br />Livermore Airport. <br />The Association of Bay Area Govern- <br />ments acts as the Metropolitan Clears <br />ing House for the nine-county Bay <br />Area, whose role it is to coordinate!,, <br />areawide and local policies, plans <br />and programs. The Planning Divi- <br />sion requested an EIR, and on <br />September 21, 1973, received from <br />ABAG's office a memorandum signed <br />by Mr. George R. Musso, Planning <br />Director of Livermore, indicating <br />that no EIR was required and based <br />his findings on the provision that <br />a Class 1 (f) "categorical exemption <br />being the "Addition of safety---pro- <br />tection devices for use---in conjunc• <br />tion with existing---facilities <br />where these devices do not have or <br />results in an adverse environmental <br />impact."
