CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINuTF~ ~OF REGUf_AR MEETING. <br />path _ November 21, 1973 <br />TffT1@ j 7 : 30 P .M. <br />PJGQAj Pleasanton Justice Court <br />CONSERVATION AND OPEN SPACE ELEMENT <br />Senior Planner Harris indicated that <br />the report's major thrust was to <br />.indicate that approximately one-half <br />of the planning area was being <br />recommended for open space, with the <br />:remainder of the report devoted to <br />explanation of how the preservation <br />of this open space can be carried out <br />;The Senior Planner told the Commis- <br />~sion that there was one major revisio <br />;from the original in that one site <br />;map used is the former Camp Parks <br />!disposal site. <br />The CAC felt it should never be <br />allowed to be the site of disposal <br />of treating the sewage matter through <br />irrigation or evaporation ponds. <br />Their expressed concern was that they <br />lelt there was a chance it would <br />damage the underground water table. <br />Staff feels that all irrigation may <br />take place north of #580. Staff <br />does not feel they should close the <br />door on the possibility that the area <br />should never be used when it may <br />be vital to the construction of the <br />Johnson & Johnson Industrial pro <br />perty and the Stoneson center. <br />Mr. Harris also referred to the fact <br />!,that BARTD may run through Stoneridge <br />Center south along #680 going east <br />at the Arroyo del Valle along Bernal <br />Avenue to a site near the interim <br />':Civic Center; over to First Street <br />and out along the tracks to Livermore <br />Public Hearing was opened. <br />-22- <br />Resolutic <br />1270 <br />Resolutic <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />\\\\ <br />\\~~„ <br />~.I, <br />
