gy`~8A"~°y CITY of PLEASANT~N
.~ .~;.
'~~~°r Planning Commission
0
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DGte : November 21, 1973
Time : 7:30 P.M.
PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
California to be mapped as to flood
plains which could be created by
breakage. It is not clear as to
which State agency would be given
this task. He agreed that this map
is something which warrants further
investigation.
Commissioner McLain also brought up
the question of the emergency oper-
ational plan which again does not
make reference to a flood plan. He
feels this is a basic need.
He further suggested elimination of
the last two sentences of Paragraph
1 of Page 15.
Commissioner Pons had no comments
regarding this element.
The Chairman had several comments -
Page 23 which speaks to amendments t
the building code. He understands
that Pleasanton is a subscriber to
the Uniform Building Code and should
continue under this posture. If the
City would have the power to amend
the building code in relation to
seismic safety, how would this tie i
with the Uniform Building Code, or
even if it would be a good idea for
this City to pioneer such a change.
On Page 24 - Paragraph 2 - in re-
ferring to building code, report
should specify "Uniform." Also, if
the City would require an amendment
to it for all buildings to be set
a minimum of 50 feet away from all
active or potentially active fault
traces within the planning area, thi
would necessitate a change in the
zoning code. One other method
would be to make this a requirement
for all engineering tract maps to
-19-
