NOISE ELEMENT Senior Planner Harris told the Commission that the purpose of the Element is three-fold - to collect data on existing and expected future noise levels throughout Pleasanton; to establish a community policy indicating the City's general in- tentions regarding noise and noise sources and indicating desired sound levels for the community; and to establish means of rectifying the difference between existing and desirable noise levels. Changes are noted in Table 5 of Page 18 with the addition of a dB (a) for the night hours in the various zonin districts, and again on Page 23 whey the last paragraph was added address ing itself to truck noise and possi- ble alleviation by opening E1 Charro Road. The Public Hearing was opened. Mr. Tom Andrews, on behalf of the CAC, had no comments to offer. The Public Hearing was closed.
