M. <br />PIOCe~ Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Commissioner McLain felt that the <br />holding capacity of the city is <br />one thing, but perhaps consideration <br />should also be given to a holding <br />capacity for the Valley. Mr. Harris <br />indicated that now, they are talking <br />about taking the Ruby Hills area out <br />of the Pleasanton General Plan area. <br />The Chairman then indicated he had <br />concerns regarding the area of inte <br />est noted on Page 34, whether it is <br />necessary to modify that wording or <br />merely to place on record their <br />concern that in the future, with <br />change in Federal administrations, <br />a different approach to subsidies <br />might be derived for development <br />of single-family detached homes for <br />the lower income groups. <br />He then discussed the wording on <br />Page 3 that under the fourth goal <br />noted, wording should be added to <br />provide for housing for all economic <br />and ethnic groups of the community, <br />since he felt it is the obligation <br />of the City to provide housing for <br />all segments of society. <br />A resolution was entered and adopted <br />approving the Housing Element of <br />the General Plan with the following <br />changes: <br />Page 3 - Goal 4 after "status," add <br />"to provide for housing for all eco- <br />nomic and ethnic segments of the <br />community .
