CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning commission
MiNUTQ$ ~Q~~ REGU~_AR MEETING.
pate = De ember 12 , 1973
Times s:os P.M.
PtQCe~ Pleasanton Justice Court
each different land use. He ex-
plained the rest of the material
enclosed, noting for their informa-
tion, where changes have occurred
since they received the element
report on November 21, 1973.
On Pages 12 and 13, a new section has
`been added titled Specific Traffic
Studies. Mr. Harris read this sec-
tion and indicated that what staff is
saying is that there are problems
"with the map in terms of land use
and circulation. But staff is
hoping that the upcoming analysis
`of the economic plan will bring some
':answers.
The Chairman offered an area for con-
sideration - the lower portion of
E. Angela Street, from First Street
to Gale.- He does not subscribe to
the general traffic philosophy that
enough accidents must occur at a
given location before some remedy is
made. He preferred to recognize
that a problem does exist at a speci-
fic spot and that some positive
action be taken to prevent any death
or injury.
'The Public Hearing was opened.
Mr. John di Manto of Willow West I,
.Developers, representing about 400
acres of the area immediately south
of I-580 and lying between Santa
,Rita Road and Hopyard Road, spoke.
His main concern was with the adop-
tion of the new General Plan, would
his property still retain the exist-~,
ing zoning or not. Mr. di Manto was
under the impression that his propert
carried a P.U.D. designation.
\\
~,\\
\~\\\
~ā'iā
-2-
