Commissioners Present: Carrigan, <br />McLain, Wood and Chairman Pereira. <br />Commissioners Absent: Pons. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag followed. <br />APPROVAL OF <br />MINUTES <br />REVISIONS AND <br />OMISSIONS TO THE <br />AGENDA <br />REVIEW OF LAND <br />USE ELEMENT AND <br />THE GENERAL PLAN <br />MAP <br />Approved, Res. <br />No. 1271 <br />The minutes of the November 14, 1973 <br />meeting were approved as submitted. <br />Chairman Pereira added Item 5b to <br />the agenda.- letter prepared by <br />Commissioner McLain to the Planning <br />Commission regarding ABAG's position <br />in the application for acquisition <br />of the 51 acre clear zone on the <br />west side of the airport, by the <br />City of Livermore. <br />Before review of the Land Use and <br />Circulation Element and General Plan <br />Map, the Chairman explained the pro- <br />cedure which was to be followed, <br />which was the same as that used <br />during the review of the other five <br />elements. <br />He further explained that these ele- <br />ment reports are staff recommenda- <br />tions to the Planning Commission. <br />If there were disagreements with any <br />position taken, the various commitee: <br />should make their positions known to <br />the City Council when they review <br />this material on December 17, 1973. <br />Senior Planner Harris told the <br />Commissioners that in essence, the <br />land use element report is a tabu- <br />lation of what they see before them <br />on the map.
