CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Plar~ninq Commisstop <br />MINUTE~~i ~qF REGU,_AR MEETING. <br />pQtb j January 9, 1974 <br />Tim4t s:o4 P.M. <br />P~GCb~ Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS FOR <br />INFORMATION OF <br />COMMISSION <br />A resolution was then entered and <br />adopted unanimously approving the <br />revised master plan for Amador Park. <br />Senior Planner Harris reviewed the <br />travel arrangements with those ~ <br />Commissioners who were planning to ~ <br />attend the Palm Springs conference <br />for Planning Commissioners, being ~ <br />sponsored by the League of California <br />Cities. <br />MATTERS INITIATED ,Commissioner McLain advised the other <br />BY COMMISSION ':Commissioners that he had contacted <br />MEMBERS `Mr. Dan Lee, Public Works Director <br />'for City of Livermore regarding <br />proposed Assembly Bill No. 2340-being <br />;.sponsored by Assemblyman Z'Berg. <br />This bill would require that all air- <br />ports within the State holding Feder- <br />al certificates or serving scheduled <br />air carriers have their own full-time <br />paid fire department. The bill <br />further proposed to appropriate an <br />unspecified amount to the State Con- <br />troller for allocation and disburse- <br />ment to local agencies for costs <br />incurred by them pursuant to this <br />I act . <br />Many factors were unclear, as there <br />are many blank spaces in the bill as <br />proposed. "Airport," as defined, <br />would apply to every airport in the <br />State which is being served by an <br />aircraft control tower under the <br />FAA's jurisdiction, and no specific <br />amount of money is referred to for <br />reimbursement to affected airports. <br />Thus, it appears that all taxpayers <br />in the State will be affected fiscally <br />\\\ <br />\\\\ <br />~»»» <br />-5- <br />
