Mr. Goode indicated <br />that it is in the realm of possibilit <br />that additional financing from local <br />sources could become a reality, but <br />;that it probably would not be so. <br />The Chairman stated that this Valley <br />;has been paying into the system for <br />'; a long time, while the services have <br />ilbeen going to other areas. Mr. GoodE <br />;indicated that the cost of any ex- <br />~tensions now, assuming Federal parti- <br />1jcipation, would be about 20~. There <br />dare no funds for these extensions <br />from the existing BART bonds. He <br />'then proceeded to enumerate methods <br />'by which local funding could be <br />obtained, if necessary. <br />The last six months of the study wil: <br />be devoted to cost details , methods <br />of financing, and tying up all loose <br />ends. <br />Chairman Pereira told Mr. Goode that <br />BART has a real "selling job" here <br />in the Valley, because of what has <br />transpired.
