4~~A$ CIT'Y of f'~.EA~AN ~~N <br />T <br />lan-nin Cot~nmissio <br />P 9 ~ <br />MIN~'TE$ ~~F REGU~_AR MEETING. <br />DGtA j March 13, 1974 <br />Tima; s:os P.M. <br />PIaCO~ Pleasanton Justice Court <br />The Chairman made reference to a <br />previous request for an addition of <br />the RMR zone to the multiple distric <br />which is a refining of that zone, <br />which would preclude this type of <br />conversion. <br />The Commission, as a whole, shared <br />a feeling of concern because of this <br />situation, and recognized the more <br />stringent requirements for establish <br />ing a more ade uate environment be- <br />cause of they permanent residency of <br />the occupants of a condominium, as <br />opposed to the generally more tran- <br />sient climate of a rental occupancy. <br />Commissioner Carrigan noted that the <br />Fire Department did not have any con- <br />ditions for approval, and requested <br />input from that body. Secretary <br />Harris indicated that the Fire Depart <br />ment did have some concerns, but for <br />some reason, chose not to attach any <br />conditions, feeling there was nothing <br />which could be done at this point. <br />Some of their concerns were type of <br />double wall construction which is <br />not so constructed all the way to the <br />top. <br />Mr. Robert Lewis, Attorney repre- <br />senting the applicant spoke. Also <br />present, was Mr. Gregg Cherezian, <br />real estate broker and developer of <br />the apartment, and Mr. Gilbert A. <br />Fitch, Civil Engineer. <br />Mr. Lewis indicated that he could not <br />respond to the problems and concerns <br />cited by the Commission and which <br />were noted in the letter from the <br />Health Officer of Alameda County. <br />He just presented the program his <br />applicant intended to follow to make <br />the condominium conversion as effi- <br />-11- <br />~\,\\ <br />\~~~\ <br />a»~» <br />i <br />I~ <br />I, ~ I <br />', <br />I j <br />__. .__ l._ _. <br />
