CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINtJT~S ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DQtO ; July 10, 1974' <br />Time s 8 : 24 P .M. <br />PIG~e~ Pleasanton Justice Court <br />to complete counseling for those <br />couples on evenings and weekends who <br />were receiving counseling during <br />the day before he moved to Fremont. <br />Mr. Kane is a marriage counselor with <br />the Catholic Social Services, and to <br />the best of Mr. Corely's knowledge, <br />there are no other services avail- <br />able in the Valley at this time . <br />Mr. Corley requested Commission <br />',approval for six months to allow Mr. <br />IK~ane to wind up his counseling of <br />',some couples and that he intends to <br />'terminate all counseling from the <br />~St. Marys Street address by June, <br />'1975. <br />;Some discussion ensued on complaints <br />,which have been received. Mr. Harris <br />explained that there were two com- <br />~,plaints, which could very well have <br />'been from the same person. <br />iiscussion continued on the criteria <br />necessary for the establishment of a <br />home occupation. <br />A motion was then entered and <br />adopted allowing Mr. Kane to continue <br />his counseling sessions for six <br />months from July 10, 1974, and that <br />the last persons counseled be out of <br />the premises by 10:00 P.M., Com- <br />missioner Carrigan proposed the <br />motion, which was supported by <br />Commissioner Wood. It was the feeling <br />that because of the importance of the <br />type of service being offered, both <br />the Commissioners could accept it for <br />a period of six months. However, the <br />dissenting vote registered by Chair- <br />man Pereira was because he felt that <br />historically, the Planning Commission <br />has restricted home occupations due <br />~~~ <br />3 <br />-8- <br />
