M.
PIaCe: Pleasanton Justice Court
not cutting it down, then perhaps the
savings of time and support to the
Planning Commission on more important
matters may not be forthcoming, be-
cause of lack of staff time.
The Chairman indicated that he has
yet to hear the reason why City
Council wants to dissolve the Board
of Adjustment and transfer its
function to the Board of Appeals,
just because that body has nothing
to do.
Commissioner Wood felt that perhaps
the workload as defined in the May
8, 1974 report be adopted instead of
as presented in the August 14, 1974
report .
A motion was offered by Chairman
Pereira, seconded by Commissioner
McLain and carried, designating that
the role of Zoning Administrator be
carried out and supported by the
Planning Commission as presently pro•
vided for in the Code, with policy
direction coming from Commission and
Council, this on the assumption that
other pertinent matters will be
studied.
Some discussion again ensued on
workload for the staff.
Another motion was offered by
Commissioner McLain, that the
Ordinance Code be amended to delete
the Board of Appeals and retain the
Board of Adjustment. This motion
died for lack of a second.
Some discussion then ensued as tc
the feasibility of designating
Council members as members of the
Board of Appeals.
Motion: X
Seconded: X
Ayes: X X
Noes:
Absent:
Abstain:
-9-
