Motion: <br />Seconded• <br />Ayes• • <br />Noes- <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />Resolution from Bay Area Planning <br />Directors' Association date d <br />March 22, 1974. <br />Mr. Harris explained that this reso- <br />lution was discussed at the quarterly <br />meeting of the San Francisco Bay <br />Area Planning Directors' Association, <br />which pertains to provision of low <br />and moderate income housing through <br />the efforts and resources of local <br />government. It was the request of <br />the president of that association <br />that the resolution be endorsed by <br />all Planning Commissions, City <br />Councils and Boards of Supervisors <br />within the Bay area. <br />The staff, however, felt that they <br />would prefer that Pleasanton not <br />endorse paragraph 4e, of the reso- <br />lution. <br />The Commissioners concurred with <br />staff's position. <br />In addition, Chairman Pereira disa- <br />greed with 4c, which would enable <br />cities and counties to require <br />the provision of a percentage of <br />low-moderate income housing units <br />in new developments, as contained <br />in AB 2090 of the current legis- <br />lative session. And to further <br />enable the cities and counties to <br />make in-lieu charges for develop- <br />ments where this requirement cannot <br />-10- <br />
