He suggested <br />that staff be responsible for this <br />annual review with appropriate noti- <br />fications sent out to surrounding <br />property owners . <br />Commissioner Wood felt that a <br />dangerous precedent may be set by <br />allowing this method of policing <br />such a permit. He suggested a trial <br />period of perhaps one year. The <br />chairman reiterated he felt that <br />perhaps the staff could handle it; <br />if there are complaints, action can <br />be taken. Commissioner Wood raised <br />the possibility of a large group <br />of 4-H members deciding to raise <br />rabbits and the possible compli- <br />cations this could place on the City <br />Commissioner McLain also spoke about <br />the possibility of a maximum of 23 <br />rabbits, and if this situation <br />existed next door to him, he would <br />personally not like it too well. <br />The City Attorney expressed that <br />this is a conditional use permit <br />and considered on its own merits. <br />The yard is very large and the <br />hutches are placed a considerable <br />distance from the neighbors. <br />After some further review of the <br />pros and cons of allowing this <br />application, the following action <br />was taken <br />A resolution recommending approval <br />subject to the conditions in the <br />staff report with the following <br />modifications: 1. That no more <br />than two breeding does and one <br />breeding buck, plus their offspring <br />to an age of no more than six weeks, <br />-6 _ _.~ . _. __1_.l _._~._ _L .J <br />
