Since the <br />Code does not specifically speak to <br />this use, but only to sanitary land- <br />fill operations, it is necessary for <br />the Commission to make such a <br />determination. <br />Present was Mr. Bill Hirst, repre- <br />senting the applicant. He concurred <br />with the staff recommendation. <br />The Commissioners had no questions <br />regarding the staff report. <br />Mr. John Petronave spoke. He stated <br />that there is a vast difference be- <br />tween the two operations. <br />Mr. Ralph Martin also spoke. He <br />expressed the belief that there is <br />a difference in the two operations. <br />He further indicated that both on <br />the Pleasanton General Plan and unde <br />County designation, this area is <br />slated for low density residential. <br />The Commissioners explained to them <br />what the Planning Comm~.ssion is re- <br />viewing at this time, which is the <br />determination of correlation between <br />the two operations. <br />A resolution making the determina- <br />tion that a refuse transfer station <br />is substantially the same as a sani- <br />tary landfill operation and hence a <br />conditionally permitted use in the <br />A (Agricultural) District, was <br />entered and unanimously adopted. <br />Condition <br />Invalid Request for exemption to a con- <br />dition of approval of Tentative <br />Tract 316 3. <br />Secretary Harris presented the staff <br />-6- <br />
