He
was unaware of this application
until he read of. it in the papers.
He wished to know what was the real
purpose of this. He spoke about
a previous application for a transfe
station before Alameda County. When
it appeared that the proponents
would be denied, they withdrew their
application. He did not approve of
a transfer station in that area.
Mr. John Pietronave then discussed t
differences between transfer station
and sanitary landfill. He indicated
he has 200 acres east of the Martin
property where he plans to build
homes in the future. This property
is master planned by County for
open space according to Secretary
Harris.
Commissioner McLain wished to know
why County did not act on it. City
Attorney Scheidig stated that the
County denied applicant's request
so that he could apply before the
City of Pleasanton. He talked about
a proposed transfer station for
Dublin and it was his feeling that
these enterprises should be com-
bined rather than have two separate
operations.
Mr. Martin, Jr., stated appreciation
that Mr. Harris suggested possibilit
or option of reviewing their pro-
perty as low density.
