Mr.
Grant of P.G.&E. replied that they
have studied the practicality and
availability of the site, and pro-
perty is in process of being trans-
ferred from escrow. In addition,
this substation will require a use
permit from the City, and Mr. Grant
asked that the Commission make their
study and determination at that time.
Mr. Grant further indicated that they
have no objection to the item being
reviewed by Council and they will do
more investigation into the recom-
mendations of the Commission. They
feel that right-of-way is a real
problem and the additional leeway
in time will allow them to make a
better presentation as to why they
prefer the southerly route.
In the meanwhile the Commission will
offer a tentative route from those
denoted on the small map which was
part of the EBRPD report.
A motion was offered by Commissioner
Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty and unanimously carried, re-
-8-
