CITY of PLEASANTON
`y Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Dote ; December 11 , 1974
Time : 8 :18 P.M.
Pleasanton Justice Court
PIGCe;
safety and aesthetics, concluding
that he would like to see more
homework done by P.G.&E. In weigh-
ing all factors, he is not totally
convinced all the necessary work
has been done in evaluating the
various routes. He does not en-
dorse the south side, preference
is for the northerly side of Stan-
ley Boulevard. He would hope that
cost would not be the only con-
sideration.
Chairman Wood asked Commissioner
Carrigan whether he would wish to
put this in the form of a resolu-
tion denoting the Commission's
position.
Commissioner Butler felt that the
Commission should consider appear-
ance of the line. He would like to
compliment P.G.&E. on their more
modern looking towers. He agreed
that if there is a feasible way
to put the line on the north side
of Stanley Boulevard, it would be
worthwhile to consider, and also
attempt to eliminate traversing
the hilly areas for reasons of
visibility. It may turn out that
utilizing the northerly route is
too costly, but he would like P.G.
&E. to investigate that possibility.
He further suggested to the Chair-
man to recommend the route proposed
by staff should it turn out that
the first choice is not feasible.
-7-
