4y$~s""~°y CITY of PLEASANTON
~ ~ •~% . ~
`~'~~~• Planning Commission
rev s
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Dote : December 11, 1974
Time ; 8 :18 P.M.
PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
Some discussion ensued on those com-
men is .
Mr. Anderson stated there is no room
to get between the railroad tracks
and the Kaiser operation. Also, the
dust would create insulation problem
The primary reason is the lack of
room and inability to maintain elec-
trical currents.
Commissioner Doherty inquired whether
in their investigations for utiliza-
tion of the north side of Stanley
Boulevard, P.G.&E. had discussed this
with the gravel company people about
obtainment of the necessary rights-
of-way. Mr. Anderson replied that to
his knowledge this has not occurred.
It was felt that the expense involved
in attempting to reroute the line
would not justify it.
Commissioner Doherty asked about the
proposed height of the towers, and
Mr. Anderson replied they would be
from 110-130 ft. Mr. Bob Grant pre-
sented colored photos of the struc-
ture they intend to use.
Commissioner Doherty discussed at
some length the problems of the
transmission lines and accidents
involving low-flying aircraft, and
whether P.G.&E. has discussed po-
tential problems with the aviation
people.
Mr. Grant replied that nothing has
been done up to this point but that
in order to obtain their permit,
P.G.&E. will have to file with the
FAA to indicate "no hazard," In this
particular case, they do not antici-
pate that there will be problems.
-5-
