CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DCte : January 8, 1975 <br />Time : 8:2o P.M. <br />PIGCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Secretary Harris indicated that this <br />portion of its development would be <br />explored in the design review stage. <br />It was Commissioner's Butler's feel- <br />ing that a valid concern was the <br />routing of the trucks. <br />Commissioner Doherty had some remarks <br />to offer 1) he is extremely concerned <br />with the environmental design of the <br />proposal 2) he shares concerns of his <br />colleagues regarding design and <br />although it may be premature at this <br />time, it may be advantageous to <br />start thinking about proper land- <br />scaping screen material, taking into <br />account the residential areas nearby. <br />3) Next, he talked about the routing <br />of the trucks through Livermore. He <br />felt it imperative that an alterna- <br />tive route be considered. <br />A resolution was then entered by <br />Commissioner McLain, seconded by <br />Commissioner Doherty and carried, <br />approving this prezoning request. <br />Commissioner Butler asked the staff <br />whether there was any method by whi <br />the City could establish specific <br />conditions of routing or estab lish <br />a period to observe effects of the <br />truck traffic emanating from the <br />site. <br />City Attorney Ken Scheidig indicated <br />that they can establish a route or <br />require establishment of a route. <br />The difficulty is in having a reason <br />able route and whether that route <br />would require transgressions upon <br />another's City limits. He indicated <br />that the route should utilize as <br />little of Livermore's streets as <br />possible and should disturb as few <br />-7- <br />
