He had several other <br />questions which were tied in with <br />the operation and maintenance of the <br />business. <br />Mr. John Peitronave, 2500 Vineyard <br />Avenue spoke next. He asked about <br />the whey from the Cheese Factory <br />which is still being disposed of <br />there. He spoke of other problems <br />of sludge ponds and dumping of gar- <br />bage. Chairman Wood asked Mr. Pie- <br />tronave whether at the time he took <br />over the dump how long he was told <br />he could operate until capacity was <br />reached. Mr. Peitronave replied he <br />did not know. In discussing this <br />with the City and the County, it was <br />his understanding that this was to <br />be a future park. <br />Mr. George Musso, Planning Director, <br />City of Livermore, spoke, advising <br />that the previous Monday night, <br />Livermore Councilpeople voiced con- <br />cern regarding the truck route ~to <br />to the Vasco Road dump site. The <br />original understanding was that the <br />trucks would proceed through Liver- <br />more proper to Vasco Road. The <br />Council position given the minimal <br />information they possessed at that <br />time, was that they would be opposed <br />to a proposal in Pleasanton which <br />would route their trucks through <br />Livermore . <br />Mr. Musso further informed the <br />Commission that he talked to Mr. Bi <br />Parness, City Manager, and members <br />of their Council and they felt that <br />Vineyard Avenue would be less capab <br />of handling truck traffic than some <br />of Livermore's streets. <br />Mr. Bill Hirst, spoke again for the <br />proponent.
