CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING.
D018 : February 13, 1975
Time ; 8:00 P.M.
PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
Commissioner Garrigan then offered a
resolution recommending that RZ-75-2
be rezoned to the R-1-6500 District,
in conformance with the General Plan.
This resolution was seconded by Com-
missioner Butler and the roll call
vote was as follows: Ayes: Butler,
Garrigan, McLain, Noes: Doherty,
Absent: Wood.
Acting Chairman McLain advised those
who opposed this rezoning designation
..that the matter would next be re-
~Iferred to the City Council, which
'would afford them another chance to
express their views.
Mr. Bob Myers, Mavis Drive then
asked why the property in question
was not shown on the zoning maps.
Secretary Harris explained that when
this property was annexed to the
,City in 1971, no prezoning was in-
'volved. According under Article 29
'of the City's code, all territory
so annexed would remain in the
Study District for no more than 60
days, during which time the Plan-
ning Commission is to apply zoning
designation. This matter was over-
looked and only came to the City's
attention when a request was made
for readjustment of lot lines of
the property in question. Mr. Myers
stated that this was unique for land
to be annexed without prezoning
established. But, Secretary Harris
corrected him to state that this
was not unique.
MATTERS FOR 1975-76 Capital Improvement Program -
COMMISSION'S this information was distributed at
REVIEW the meeting.
