This <br />list is, however, very preliminary <br />and does include the park and re- <br />creations facilities. He would <br />suggest that the Commission review <br />and if there are any suggestions, to <br />contact him within the next three <br />weeks . <br />Acting Chairman McLain recommended <br />that the Chairman, Walt Wood, be <br />so informed of this. <br />TENTATIVE <br />SUBDIVISION MAPS <br />Tentative Tract <br />3256, <br />Denied, Res. No. <br />1332 <br />Tentative Tract Map 3256 - Longview, <br />This map was submitted to the City <br />for review on January 8, 1975, As <br />noted in the attachments submitted <br />with the staff report dated February <br />13, 1975, considerable correspon- <br />dence took place between City staff <br />and Dr. Longs attorney, Gilbert E. <br />Maines, who maintains offices in <br />Fremont, California. <br />Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney advised <br />the Planning Commission as follows: <br />According to Section 11552 of the <br />Business and Professions Code, once <br />a tentative map is submitted, a <br />City has 50 days in which to process <br />it, or it becomes automatically <br />approved, if no action is taken on <br />it. This code does not allow ade- <br />quate time for Environmental Review <br />of a project pursuant to guidelines <br />adopted under the aegis of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act <br />if an EIR is required, because a <br />project may have a significant effect <br />on the environment. If a project <br />required an EIR, then it would be <br />necessary to obtain an extension of <br />-10- <br />
