CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DOfie : February 13, 1975
Time : 8:0o P.M.
PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice :Court
west of the Center might eventually
be put to. He showed a planned unit
residential development facsimile
of an artist's concept.
He then stated that Mr. Burge is
willing to set the second story an
additional five feet back (for a
total of 10 feet) to alleviate the
possible sight problems.
Mr. Bras then gave background of
this application and his dealing
with staff, particularly Secretary
Harris, regarding this second floor
addition. The applicant is asking
for approximately. 45% development
on the second floor or about 3,000
square feet more.
Secretary Harris clarified that he
had worked with Mr. Bras on this
proposal, but at no time did he
encourage or assure him that this
revision would be granted. Some
discussion ensued.
Commissioner Butler clarified from
Mr. Bras that the 10 ft. second-
story setback would not structurally
harm the building, nor would it
detract from the aesthetics. At
10 ft., some roofing modification
would be needed, but the plan was
feasible.
Mr. George Vranesh, 4560 Eull Court
spoke. He cited the petition of son
38 names to City Council requesting
that this modification not be
allowed. Also, that Mrs. Halverson,
property owner adjacent to the west
of the development was one of them
who signed. Also, that there is
no sewer available.
-15-
