No. 133 <br />Richard Burge - referral from City <br />Council regarding request of Richard esolution: <br />Burge for second-story addition to econded: <br />a commercial building located on the yes: <br />north side of Valley Avenue, approxi oes: <br />mately 590 feet west of Santa Rita sent: <br />Road, Pleasanton. stain: <br />Secretary Harris explained that at <br />the Council hearing, Mr. Jack Bras, <br />representing the applicant, indi- <br />cated that he had further pertinent <br />information to offer, which the <br />Commission had not been made aware <br />of, hence it was continued and re- <br />ferred back to the Commission. <br />Both Jack Bras and Richard Burge <br />were present. <br />Several graphics were presented by <br />Mr. Bras in the form of drawings and <br />photographs speaking to the original <br />comment established by the Commis- <br />sion at their first review about the <br />length of shadow cast on the adja- <br />cent westerly property. <br />He then described the adjacent resi- <br />dential neighborhood, particularly <br />for those property owners who reside <br />in Eull Court, who expressed concern <br />Distances from those properties to <br />the building in question ranged from <br />400-800 ft. Also, there are many <br />tall trees, which should obscure <br />much of the building. <br />Mr. Bras noted that none of the <br />adjacent property owners on the <br />immediate adjacent site were ever <br />present at the hearings to complain. <br />Mr. Bras then discussed some of the <br />concerns expressed as to what the <br />Agricultural property immediately <br />-14- <br />
