CITY of PLEASANTON <br />`` Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />D018 : March 20, 1975 <br />Time : 8:15 P.M. <br />PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Mr. Griffin also spoke of the <br />negative declaration assessment pre- <br />pared by City staff. He disagrees <br />with the position taken by the City. <br />He felt another site would be better. <br />He further felt that public use of <br />this site should be eliminated. <br />Mr. John Fraser, 1486 Kolln Street - <br />property owner most affected. There <br />are problems with fast cars on that <br />access road, litter and also the con- <br />figuration of the turn, which makes <br />vehicular maneuverability difficult, <br />as well as noise and pollution from <br />vehicles . There was a previous <br />problem when Kaiser was using that <br />road, and he did not wish to have a <br />repeat of that problem. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />Considerable discussion ensued b e- <br />tween Chairman Wood, the other <br />;Commissioners and City staff, parti- <br />'Icularly Engineering Services Director <br />'Don Sooby, regarding the final design <br />'of Busch Road and availability of <br />'..improvement funds to complete the <br />work. Mr. Sooby indicated that <br />there is a possibility, however, that <br />Morrison Homes would not cooperate <br />in dedicating to the City at an <br />earlier date than originally planne d <br />the necessary right-of-way to effect <br />a proper roadway . <br />Don Sooby explained on a map the <br />final improvement plans for Busch <br />Road. The intersection of Santa Rita <br />and Busch, at its ultimate completion <br />would be signalized. Further dis- <br />cussion occurred regarding traffic <br />volume, methods to ensure greater <br />safety, etc. <br />-3- <br />
