"'"'°• CITY of PLEASANTON
` Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Date May 14, 1975
Time: g;15 P.M.
PIGCe: Pleasanton Justice Court
could attend the next field trip he
is arranging.
The Public Hearing was opened and
continued to June 11, 1975, pending
redraft of the ordinance.
Commissioner Butler noted that the
draft ordinance seeks to identify
major topographical features and
specifically keeps building off these
features. By so doing, it tends to
concentrate building in the lower
areas. This procedure works very
nicely in the canyon areas, but on
sloping terrain, he did not know how
it would work out.
GENERAL PLAN Application of the Planning Com-
AMENDMENT mission to amend the general plan
GP-75-3, Approved, from Retail Business and Offices,
Res. 1344 Professional and Administrative
Offices and High Density Residential
to Medium Density Residential for
that approximately 19 acres of land
located at the southeast corner of
the intersection of Bernal Avenue
and Foothill Road.
Secretary Harris explained that
there is some activity pertaining to
this site presently and staff has
discovered that the general plan was
not amended to reflect the current
zoning on the property. State law
now requires this action and since
this particular property has been the
subject of much controversy, staff
felt it would behoove the City to
amend the plan to coincide with the
zoning map.
The Public Hearing was opened.
No one spoke to this matter, and the

-_. ___.___. _.___ __. ~_ ,._.__ _....... __... -8-

_.
_ .... _ _._ _,__ _ _ ..___~ ___.r.. .._
_~-_..
