Also pre- <br />sent was Mr. Edgren, owner of the <br />property, and he was advised by <br />the Chairman what steps he needed <br />to take if he wanted to pursue this <br />matter further. <br />CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT <br />UP-75-6, Approved, <br />R~[s . 13 4 0 <br />Casa Verde Nursery - application for <br />a conditional use permit to remove <br />the time restriction on the existing <br />nursery use and to expand the size <br />of the nursery located at 5511 <br />Sunol Boulevard in order to have <br />room for additional growing grounds, <br />firewood and plant storage and <br />retail sales area; zoning for the <br />property is I-P (Industrial Park) <br />District. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Larry Billings, co-owner of the <br />nursery was present. He had no <br />questions of the staff report, as <br />the conditions for approval all <br />appear to be reasonable. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Carrigan gave some <br />background on the history of this <br />..,application, where over a period <br />lof several years the Commission <br />Chas been observing whether this <br />nursery use would be compatible <br />within the industrial district. <br />They have concluded that it is a <br />workable use, and can find justifi- <br />cation to remove the time restric- <br />tion previously imposed on the <br />nursery . <br />A resolution recommending approval, <br />subject to the conditions in the <br />Resolution <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Abstain: <br />Absent: <br />IX <br />-2- <br />
