The appli
cant was advised by the City Attorne
of his rights and approved the par-
~,ticipation of Commissioner Butler
~~in discussion and voting on this
(matter.
Commissioner Garrigan felt this was
an appropriate use and that the ap-
plicant has gone out of his way to
alleviate the noise element.
Commissioner Shepherd felt the basic
issue was access onto Vervais and
that on the balance, denying access
was less inconvenient to the appli-
cant than to the residents of the
neighborhood.
Commissioner Butler expressed concer
that all traffic egress and ingress
onto Stanley may cause congestion on
that street and further he felt
strongly that resurfacing of Vervais
is deserved.
Commissioner Wood believed that-the
City Council had indicated approval
of access onto Vervais when the pre-
vious application for use on this
site was approved and since Stanley
'has far more traffic than Vervais,
felt that resurfacing and proper
',signing and berms should be recom-
mended for approval of this appli-
cation.
-9-
