4y~,~-S AJV joy <br />CITY of PL~A~A~I~'t~N <br />~~o <br />.~.:ot~ Planning Cot~miss~on <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING, <br />DGte : June 11, 19 75 <br />Time : 8:00 P.M. <br />PIOCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Commissioner Shepherd suggested the <br />elimination of a couple of parking <br />spaces to allow tow trucks to deposi <br />automobiles for repair on the site <br />and turn around and egress out onto <br />Stanley, but Mr. Hirst indicated tha <br />the elimination of parking spaces <br />would severely hinder the operation. <br />Commissioner Butler arrived at 9:15 <br />P.M. <br />The following members of the audien <br />spoke: <br />George Garibaldi, 4230 Vervais, told <br />the Commission that he lived across <br />the street from the proposed use and <br />has lived there for 30 years. He <br />told the Commission that Vervais is <br />very Narrow, has 1'~ inches of black- <br />top and the telephone poles are in- <br />stalled 5 ft. into the street. He <br />further indicated that at the time <br />Arrow Rentals were requesting use of <br />the site, the City Council indicated <br />that the telephone poles would be <br />moved and the street paved if traffi <br />access was allowed on Vervais. Mr. <br />Baribaldi further expressed concern <br />regarding the noise level of activi- <br />ties on the site . <br />Mr. Dan Pons, 4242 Vervais Avenue, <br />spoke next. He explained that he <br />lives directly across the street <br />from the site and asked what pre- <br />cautions would be taken with regard <br />to residue after cars are sanded and <br />painted. He too asked about the <br />noise resulting from body work and <br />if there would be proper insullation. <br />He told .the Commission that though <br />he was not against the application, <br />he would prefer that there be no <br />-7- <br />T.____ ,..... _.. _.__.... . <br />
