gy`~8A"~°y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ ~ '~~ • <br />`~~~~° Planning Commission <br />0 <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Date August 13, 1975 <br />Time : $ : oo P~N.I::' <br />PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />ORDINANCE City Council - application for an <br />AMENDMENT amendment to Sec. 2-7.08a, Article 8, <br />RZ-75-10, Denied, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance <br />Res. 1364 Code of the City of Pleasanton, to <br /> allow picture framing shops as a per- <br /> mitted use in the C-S (Commercial <br /> Service) District. <br /> Secretary Harris reviewed the back- <br /> ground on this case. It was staff's <br /> recommendation to deny such uses in <br /> the Commercial Service District. <br /> The Public Hearing was opened. <br /> A Mr. Walter Lawrence, resident of <br /> the City of Napa, was present to speal <br /> for this application. He presently <br /> operates an art and crafts shop there. <br /> and plans to establish a similar one <br /> in Pleasanton. He wished to point <br />' out that in the building he is plan- <br /> ning to locate in, there is now a <br /> floor covering store, a Triple A offi <br /> a pet store and a paint store next <br /> door to the proposed picture framing <br /> shop. In addition to picture frames, <br /> he also intends to offer mirrors. He <br /> failed to see why this use would be <br /> disallowed for that building. He als <br /> clarified that he had not looked for <br /> any other location in town for his <br /> proposed shop. <br /> The Public Hearing was closed. <br /> A resolution supporting the recom- <br /> mendation of the staff to deny such <br /> use was entered and adopted. <br /> -8- <br />Res . <br />Sec. <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />
