Mr. Green- <br />berg requested that Condition #8, <br />requiring submission of a building <br />permit survey and site development <br />plan be waived. <br />Regarding #20, Mr. Greenberg wished <br />to clarify whether the private phone <br />the station will have will need to <br />be open for public use, or would <br />this requirement apply to the public <br />telephone on the site. <br />Chairman Wood emphasized to the <br />applicant that regardless of action <br />the Planning Commission takes on <br />this case, he wished for the appli- <br />cant to know that the Commission <br />definitely welcomes the applicant <br />to Pleasanton and definitely wants <br />to get commercial growth and venture; <br />into town, but that it is the Com- <br />mission's objective to make certain <br />that such commercial ventures meet <br />all ordinance and safety code re- <br />quirements. <br />Mr. Phil Younger, of a Chevron <br />station in town, wished to know <br />whether this new proposal would en- <br />large the existing station. Mr. <br />Harris explained the site plan to <br />Mr. Younger, who basically did not <br />object to another service station <br />coming to town, but stated that the <br />site chosen was not a good one for <br />the type of business. <br />Next, Mr. Bill Hirst, 147 Bernal <br />Avenue, spoke. He was representing <br />Vernon Dickman, who had just re- <br />ceived design clearance to construct <br />-3- <br />
