Commissioner Shepherd <br />asked staff why they requested the <br />rectangular shape and was told that <br />the trapezoidal is rather modern- <br />istic and not in keeping with the <br />Spanish exterior of the building. <br />A resolution recommending approval <br />of the modification to the approved <br />PUD-73-2, for the three restaurants <br />at the Valley Plaza Center was ens <br />tered and adopted by all present. <br />Secretary Harris advised the Com- <br />missioners that City Council plans <br />to hold a special meeting on October <br />6, 1975, to discuss population pro- <br />jections and their relationship to <br />the General Plan. <br />Commissioner Butler commented on the <br />forthcoming special meeting with <br />Council on population projections <br />and the possibility of a major re- <br />vision to the General Plan. Secre- <br />tary Harris said that Council/Com- <br />mission will be looking toward a <br />growth regulating section in the <br />General Plan, whether the holding <br />capacity is changed or not. Chair- <br />man Wood wondered if growth can be <br />controlled by this regulation to <br />commercial or industrial growth. <br />The City Attorney stated that figures <br />promulgated by the State do include <br />commercial, but not industrial. <br />T~ris meeting is an orientation meet- <br />ing.
