ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Getty and Chairperson Lindsey <br />Noes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson and Wilson <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Chairperson Lindsey asked if there was an alternate motion on this. <br />Commissioner Jamieson stated his position has always been that he <br />cannot support any building over three stories. <br />Commissioner Doherty asked that since this was denied, perhaps <br />the applicant might want to return with a new design which would not <br />exceed 65 feet even if it means going to four-stories. Commissioner <br />Getty stated that the City Council has the final approval. Mr. <br />Harris stated it would be treated as an ordinance and it would have <br />to be appealed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Doherty, that PUD-81-30-4D be approved subject to the staff report <br />and the first 8 conditions and that the 9th condition be changed <br />to indicate a structure no more than 65 feet in height. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty and Wilson <br />Noes: Commissioners Getty, Jamieson and Chairperson Lindsey <br />Chairperson Lindsey advised the applicant this could be appealed <br />the City City Council. <br />Mr. Callahan stated that this is a life safety building which is <br />not required by code. He stated this includes special smoke vents <br />in all of the stair wells, special emergency lighting and electrical <br />and other items which are not required by code until a building <br />exceeds 8 stories. He further stated that the Fire Chief was <br />completely satisfied with the proposed laddering system. Mr. Callahan <br />further stated that he felt it was a severe error on the part of the <br />Planning Commission to evaluate the project on a 7 foot difference. <br />Mr. Harris stated that regarding this particular item the Planning <br />Commission could reopen this matter, 4D, and continue it to the <br />August 4, 1982 meeting when the Fire Chief could attend and answer <br />questions. <br />It was agreed by the Planning Commission that PUD-81-30-4D would <br />be continued to the meeting of August 4, 1982. <br />-13- <br />. _._ ..__ . _. ~........,..~..__..f_, . ___...... _....... _._ .._ . _._ _ .._ ,T_._ <br />
