6.1(2) <br /> <br />Holidays Fallinq on Saturday, Sunday or Scheduled <br />Day Off <br /> <br />When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following <br />Monday shall be observed; when a holiday falls on a <br />Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed; except <br />that if Christmas Eve day falls on a Saturday or Sunday, <br />the preceding Friday shall be observed. If a holiday <br />falls on an employee's scheduled time off, compensatory <br />time off shall be granted or, at the option of the <br />employee, compensation at a rate of pay equal to his <br />regular rate of pay for the holiday period shall be <br />granted. <br /> <br />6.1(3) <br /> <br />Floating Holidays <br /> <br />Each management employee, except fire battalion chiefs, <br />shall be credited with three (3) floating holidays on <br />July 1st of each year. Management and confidential <br />employees hired full-time after July 1st, but on or <br />before December 31st, of any given year shall be credited <br />with one (1) floating holiday. Floating holidays must be <br />observed in the fiscal year in which they are credited. <br /> <br />Section 6.4 Vacation <br /> <br />6.4(1) Vacation Eligibility/Allowance <br /> <br />Full-time management and confidential employees, except <br />fire battalion chiefs with six or more months of service <br />shall be entitled to vacation with pay in accordance with <br />the following schedule: <br /> <br />(1) One (1) through four (4) years of continuous service <br /> ten (10) vacation days. <br /> <br />(2) Five (5) through ten (10) years of continuous service <br /> fifteen (15) vacation days. <br /> <br />(3) Eleven (11) through fifteen (15) years of continuous <br /> service - twenty (20) vacation days. <br /> <br />(4) Sixteen (16) years of continuous service and above - <br /> twenty (20) vacation days plus one (1) additional <br /> vacation day for each year of service over fifteen <br /> years of service to a maximum of twenty-five (25) <br /> vacation days. <br /> <br />6.4(2) <br /> <br />Fire Battalion Chiefs with six months or more of service <br />will be entitled to vaction in accordance with the <br />following schedule: <br /> <br />(1) One (1) through five (5) years of continuous service - <br /> 6 shifts. <br /> <br />- 8 - <br /> <br /> <br />
