Commissioner Getty said she <br />wonders if the ordinance as addressed in the notice was misunderstood. <br />Commissioner Wilson indicated he would like to see the merchants be <br />allowed to have outdoor sales four times a year as opposed to three <br />times per year as suggested in the draft ordinance. <br />Mr. Harris stated that under the current ordinance, outdoor sales <br />could not take place at all. He indicated further that displays <br />serve the same purpose as signing and he didn't believe the City <br />wished to be too liberal in this regard. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson that case RZ-82-10, application of the City of Pleasanton to <br />amend various sections of the code as they pertain to the outdoor sales <br />and display of merchandise, be approved as recommended by staff in the <br />draft ordinance (attached to the staff report) amending it to allow <br />outdoor sales four times per year instead of three. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Wilson and Chairperson Lindsey <br />Noes: Commissioner Getty <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2204 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of case RZ-82-10 as motioned. <br />GP-82-6, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the General Plan land <br />use designation of an approximately 8.8 acre site from High Density <br />Residential to Medium Density Residential, located on the north side <br />of Valley Avenue, approximately 850 feet west of the intersection of <br />Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue. The Planning Commission may <br />recommend any action regarding the subject property it feels is in <br />the public interest. <br />RZ-82-11, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately <br />7 acre site from the "A" (Agricultural) District to the R-1-6500 <br />(Single-Family Residential) District or to any other zoning district <br />consistent with the General Plan, located on the north side of Valley <br />Avenue, approximately 800 feet west of the intersection of Santa Rita <br />Road and Valley Avenue. <br />A negative declaration of environmental impacts for the above <br />applications will also be considered. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report. <br />
