Mr. Harris said he assumes they are in favor <br />He said in fact they are concerned about the corner <br />land to Shell to make it compatible to the entrance <br />Business Park. He said their engineers were present to answer <br />any detailed questions. <br />Chairperson Lindsey asked Mr. Urban if he concurs with the conditions <br />recommended in the staff report. Mr. Urban said they concur with <br />them but would like a wider driveway than recommended. <br />Stan Roller, Engineer, 2401 Crow Canyon Road, San Ramon, spoke <br />urging approval of the 44 ft. driveway vs. 35 ft. <br />Mr. Warnick indicted that there is an additional lane and the <br />staff feels that speed does not necessarily warrant an extra wide <br />driveway. He said the staff doesn't feel strongly one way or the <br />other about it, however. Chairperson Lindsey asked if the normal <br />size of driveways is 35 ft. Mr. Warnick responded that is the <br />normal size. <br />Mr. Roller presented a color rendering which they had just received. <br />Mr. Harris addressed the material and colors and presented this <br />information to the Commission. <br />Carl Cox, 2353 Saddleback, Danville (future proprietor), addressed <br />the Commission. He thanked the staff and community for all of the <br />help they received and said this is the first time he has ever <br />been involved in a project from the ground up. He said he agrees <br />with all of the conditions as outlined. He said when the project <br />is built, it will be the finest Shell Station in the United States <br />and probably the most expensive. He indicated he has other <br />stations; Danville, Dublin and Tracy and that Tracy has a con- <br />venience store. He said his Dublin station has a car wash and <br />they have washed 50,000 cars since the first of June. <br />
