Dick Lamb, Circulation Manager for the Herald, stated they would
be happy to help in anyway they could in drafting this ordinance.
Chairperson Lindsey thanked Mr. Lamb and stated this matter would be
continued to the meeting of January 12, 1983.
TENTATIVE MAPS
Tentative Map Tract 5101, Valley Plaza Apartments
Application of Valley Plaza Apartments Joint Venture to subdivide
approximately 1.9 acres of land located immediately east of the
residences on the east side of Brooktree Way into twenty (20) townhouse
lots. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High
Density Residential District.
Mr. Harris reviewed the Staff Report.
Commissioner Wilson asked if the total number of units were being
increased. Mr. Harris responded they were not, that it had to be
in conformity with the approved development plan.
The public hearing was opened.
Robert Faulk, Brian, Kangas and Faulk, engineers for the project, stated
there are 18 conditions attached to the Staff Report, all of which speak
to the 44 conditions that were approved with the initial project in
February 1982. He stated that these conditions were basically a duplica-
tion of the original 44 conditions and requested that the original 44
conditions be applied.
Mr. Warnick stated that he thought Mr. Faulk's intention was to ask
for a statement of understanding that he had complied with the conditions
for the plans which were already submitted and that that was the staff's
position, and that he was not trying to impose any additional conditions.
He further stated that there is a standard set of subdivision conditions
applied to all tentative maps and that it was not his intention to add
any additional conditions that were not presently shown on the improvement
plans.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner Getty,
that Tentative Map Tract 5101 be approved subject to the 2 conditions
of the Staff Report and the 18 conditions of the Engineering Report.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Getty, Jamieson, Wilson, and Chairperson Lindsey
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Doherty
Abstain: None
Resolution No. 2249 was then entered approving Tentative Map Tract 5101,
Valley Plaza Apartments, as motioned.
-7-
