The public hearing was closed. <br />Mr. Harris informed the Commission that the three conditions should be <br />modified in that staff's position now is that residential should not <br />be part of the Assessment Districts. He stated that the three conditions <br />should be modified to add that only the portion of property to remain <br />in Commercial and Offices should be subject to assessment. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson, that approval of Case GP-82-9 could have potentially <br />significant adverse effects on the environment but that conditions <br />proposed would reduce potential adverse effects to insignificant levels <br />and recommended that the mitigated negative declaration be approved. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Getty, Jamieson, Wilson, and Chairperson Lindsey <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Commissioner Doherty <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2245 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of the mitigated negative declaration prepared for Case GP-82-9. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson, that the General Plan designation be changed to approve <br />the 5.8 acres High Density Residential and 2 acres Commercial and <br />Offices and that Conditions Nos. 1 through 3 apply only to the <br />Commercial and Offices area. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Getty, Jamieson, Wilson, and Chairperson Lindsey <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Commissioner Doherty <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2246 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of Case GP-82-9 as motioned. <br />NEW BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />UP-82-18, Les Mathews <br />Application of Les Mathews for a conditional use permit to allow various <br />warehouse uses, as yet undefined at 5729 Sonoma Drive.. Zoning for the <br />property is IP (Industrial Park) District. <br />Mr. Harris reviewed the Staff Report and stated that staff was <br />recommending approval subject to conditions; the more important of <br />which would be prohibiting outdoor storage of materials, supplies, <br />and equipment on the site. He stated that he felt that if these <br />conditions were adhered to, warehousing could be a compatible use in <br />that area. <br />-- 3 - <br />
