He wondered if any staff depart- <br />~ent has been charged with responsi- <br />~ility for implementing the Plan. <br />ir. Harris indicated that all advance <br />Tanning goals of the Planning Depart- <br />.ent during fiscal year 1976-77 are <br />elated to implementing the Plan. <br />taff hopes to hire a geologist to <br />urvey the entire area in order. to <br />omplete the seismic element. Also, <br />opefully, staff will be able to do <br />he noise element themselves. After <br />.hat, ordinances will need to be <br />ompleted. In fact, the entire <br />dvance planning work program next <br />ear will be a direct outgrowth of <br />he General Plan once it is adopted. <br />Bill Edgar, City Manager, was present, <br />and in reply to Commissioner Butler's <br />questions, Mr. Edgar stated that it <br />is important to understand that it <br />is a matter of priorities. The City <br />is now reviewing various priorities <br />within its budget review. The im- <br />plementation process for the General <br />Plan will be one of them. <br />r. Harris stated staff is also ap- <br />lying for 701 funding from the State <br />hich would provide planning funds <br />f approved. <br />-8- <br />
