The City is looking <br />o Section 8 assistance. However, <br />ecause of inflated rents, Section 8 <br />ay not work in Pleasanton. Its too <br />arly yet to know. The City hopes <br />o work with the Housing Authority <br />o implement this goal. <br />Regarding completion of the growth <br />management plan, Mr. Harris stated <br />that with hopes of receiving 701 <br />funding, it may be completed by end <br />of next fiscal year. <br />issioner Doherty had no comments. <br />Chairman Wood talked about how imple- <br />mentation of housing goals could be <br />accomplished. Mr. Farris explained <br />that there is a possibility of giving <br />points for the provision of moderate <br />or low income housing as part of a <br />growth management plan. <br />The Chairman next brought up concerns <br />regarding air space. It appeared <br />that the Livermore Airport continues <br />to expand. Mr. Levine, Deputy City <br />Attorney stated that airports are <br />regulated by Federal agencies, and <br />while he would need to research the <br />issue, he thought that the City might <br />be precluded from acting on this. <br />However, if a policy regarding cur- <br />-lo- <br /> <br />
