4y~~8ANTOy CITY of P~.~ASAN~'~-~1
~~, .
-~~° Planning ~OtY1miSSlon
....o
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DOfiB : March 10, 1976
Time : s:oo P.M.
PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
previous statements made about the
unsightliness of the RV yard. It
was his opinion that Stonedale Drive
in the vicinity of the yard is of
;itself unattractively maintained by
~~those same homeowners complaining
about the appearance of the yard.
The other members in the audience,
Messrs. Sam Portillo and Jim Frye,
commented briefly on their positions
regarding the undesirability of the
RV yard in its present location..
The Chairman thanked the speakers fo
the thoroughness of the information
presented by them.
Mr. Braden of MacKay & Somps, had no
solutions to offer at this time.
Commissioner Garrigan recalled that
the department was in the midst of
personnel changes at the time
Stoneson's PUD went before the
Commission for review. He presented
his recollection of the .proceedings
at that time. The location for the
yard was discussed and other sites
were suggested. Because of the en-
suing confusion, he admitted that th
City had to accept their share of
responsibility for the problems.
Commissioner Butler stated that so
far he has not heard anyone discuss
how the present size of the lot was
determined. Also, what prompted the
developer to suddenly begin its
development at this point. Commis-
sioner Garrigan replied that the
Commission did choose its location;
its size was determined from recom-
mendations of the previous Planning
Director who had had similar exper-
iences.
-11-
