4~`~$""~~y CITY of PLEASANTaN <br />~~ ~~,. <br />`~~~° Planning Commission <br />..o <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DCte : June 9, 1976 <br />Time: g:2o P.M. <br />PIQCe; Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />matter be continued to July 14, 1976, <br />specifically to evaluate its economic <br />impact and the traffic circulation. <br />He stated further that he has not <br />had enough time to fully prepare his <br />arguments against this application <br />and requested that all matters per- <br />taining to this use be continued to <br />the July 14th meeting. <br />Mr. Hirst responded by stating that <br />there has been sufficient time for <br />the opponents to review the case and <br />gave background on the property in <br />question and previous planning <br />concerns that the site was virtually <br />undevelopable for any other type of <br />use. <br />In response to a question by Com- <br />missioner Doherty, Mr. Schwab stated <br />that he represented a group of 6 <br />service station owners. <br />As no one else wished to speak, the <br />Public Hearing was closed. <br />Deputy City Attorney read the two <br />conditions suggested by the City <br />Attorney's office to be imposed <br />!,should the application be approved <br />',consisting of 1) a landscaping <br />agreement be entered into, and 2) <br />',abatement proceedings to be insti- <br />'tuted 90 days following abandonment <br />of the site. <br />Mr. Hirst indicated his client has <br />'no objections to the additional con- <br />ditions. <br />Commissioner Shepherd questioned the <br />need for another gas station, and <br />potential traffic problems, but felt <br />the site was a good one for this <br />use. <br />-3- <br />
