4y~~$A"~°y CITY of PLEAS~NTC~N <br />~~ ~~,. <br />.~ .°. <br />`~'~*°°• Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DC1B : June 9, 1976 <br />Time ; 8:20 P.M. <br />PIQCe; Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />Johnson Industrial Drive; zoning for <br />the property is I-G (General Indus- <br />trial) District. <br />Secretary Harris reviewed the staff <br />report stating that approval is re- <br />commended. <br />Deputy City Attorney Levine stated <br />that the City Attorney's office wo <br />like to add two conditions should <br />this case be approved. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Attorney for the applicant, Bill <br />Hirst, was present and stated they <br />have reviewed the conditions in <br />detail and concur with the recommen- <br />dations made and requested approval <br />of this CUP. Further, he stated <br />that the applicant has dealt suc- <br />cessfully with the traffic circula- <br />tion problems both on and off the <br />site. Also he noted his belief that <br />this application will benefit the <br />residents of the City, affording <br />alternates and competition to the <br />benefit of all. <br />Chairman Wood expressed concern <br />regarding the amount of time and <br />potential traffic tie ups caused <br />by inexperienced people pumping <br />their own gasoline. <br />Mr. Hirst indicated there have been <br />no problems in that regard with <br />the downtown station; and the <br />recreational vehicles will be <br />located out of the mainstream of <br />traffic toward the edge of the site. <br />Mr. Joseph Schwab, representing <br />opponents of the station, presented <br />his arguments opposing this appli- <br />cation and requested that this <br />-2- <br /> <br />
